Global China Connections Taking Applications for Executive Board

With the impending graduation of Croft students Hattie Fisher, Bruce Burley, and Taylor Malcolm from the executive board of the University of Mississippi Global China Connections, the organization is looking for applicants to replace them.  William Foley, the co-founder and incoming president of the GCC, asked us to post their recruitment flyer.

Are you interested in Sino-American relations, and have a minimal-to-advanced understanding of Chinese language and/or culture? Do you wish to gain access to an elite network of students and alumni from world-renowned universities including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, NYU, Peking University, as well as other current and future global professionals? Would you like to be involved in the planning and execution of an international conference to be held at Ole Miss in the spring of 2016?

If you answered yes to one or more of the above questions, you may be a great fit for a role as an Executive Board member or an Associate at the University of Mississippi’s non-profit installment of Global China Connection (GCC). As a chapter which has been recognized throughout the international network for our unique and effective approach to carrying out GCC’s mission, we are seeking highly-motivated, team-oriented, and well-qualified candidates to apply for leadership roles within our organization, where they will gain real-world experience working for a non-profit company in charge of coordinating several on-campus events, as well an annual joint-conference with Vanderbilt University and other prominent chapters of this prestigious organization. If accepted into the ranks of our leadership team, you will gain valuable work experience, as well as unprecedented opportunities to network with some of the world’s brightest and most influential leaders in international relations. A successful team of this nature requires a broad scope of skillsets, including an in-depth understanding of subjects ranging from marketing and personnel management, to even information technology and web development. Therefore, we encourage both undergraduate and graduate students from all areas of academia to apply. If you would like more information about this opportunity, or are interested in applying for an Executive or Associate position, please send all inquiries or your résumé to OleMissGCC@gmail.com to set up an informal interview for further consideration.
