Approved Courses for the International Studies Major (Not All Courses Offered Every Semester)

Courses that meet the Institute's requirements for regional and thematic concentrations and for research methods are listed below. Credits earned during study abroad generally also count toward fulfillment of graduation requirements in the major, even though those courses are not listed here.  All decisions concerning how any of the listed courses and study-abroad courses may be counted toward fulfillment of the major's requirements are at the final discretion of the Croft Institute's academic advisors.  Note that the list is subject to revision as departments add and delete courses.  Also note that not every course is offered every semester or even every year.  Check the online course selector to see which courses are available in a given semester.

The lists below do not contain all Topics courses which are offered by Croft or its partner departments. Topics courses including Inst 310-318 and those offered by other departments are approved on a semester-by-semester basis and will be listed on the Course Selection Tool for each term.
