Croft Alumna Invites Students to Apply for Internship with the Bonner Group

Croft alumna Anna Terry (B.A. 2014) invites Croft students and anyone else looking to gain experience in national politics and fundraising to apply for a paid internship with the Bonner Group, a Washington D.C.-based, political-fundraising, non-profit.

The Bonner Group, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit and Democratic political fundraising firm, is looking to hire Summer interns to work on a number of client projects.  Interns are responsible for performing in-depth research on potentialdonors, preparing background briefing memos on high-net worth individualsand foundations, andhelping orchestrate special events and meetings.

This internship is ideal for anyone who would like to gain invaluable experience in national politics and fundraising.  Thisis a PAID position.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scheduling: Responsible for helping orchestrate meetings and special events for high-profile principals.  Duties may include making calls, preparing mailings, and drafting correspondence.
• Research: Responsible for researching potential donors and compiling information in a useable format.
• Database: Responsible for helping maintain and update a donor database, in addition to compiling lists for project use.
• Briefings: Responsible for preparing extensive background memos on potential donors.  Also responsible for preparing short briefings for events.
• Administrative: Other tasks as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter

• Excellent writing and communications skills
• Previous research experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated interest in progressive politics
• Ability to work full-time or part-time for the duration of the Summer months
